Dramatic progress in our nation has always sprung from the same well: our people and our communities. Always.

We see that today in the push for a clean energy transition. Despite endless obstructionism at the state and federal levels, our families and our communities are moving forward.

Please find inspiration for your own local progress in the report “Michigan Communities Leading on Climate,” by our colleagues at Michigan Climate Action Network. The report takes a look at 16 Michigan communities leading the way on clean energy transition in the Mitten.

MiCAN researchers found a wide range of action among the 16 communities. Ann Arbor has been so progressive it is at the tip of the spear even nationally in moving to clean energy infrastructure. Other communities are just getting started with some good policy. The examples will give you practical ideas for how to approach your county, city, township … Don’t hold back on passing this wisdom along.
