Michigan climate & Clean energy summit
Elevating the need to take urgent action on climate change, and inspiring stakeholders in Michigan to advocate for a rapid transition to clean energy while centering an equitable transition for all.
The Michigan Climate & Clean Energy Summit brings together the general public, climate advocates & scientists, activists, and policymakers to move Michigan toward just and rapid action to address the climate crisis. Our goal is to make equitable climate action a top priority for the Whitmer administration and set a bold agenda for Michigan's leaders to make the state of Michigan a leader on climate justice.
Convening concerned citizens and professionals to push faster and further toward an equitable clean energy economy, the Summit has become the premier climate change policy gathering in the state. The first Summit was held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 2019. In 2020 and 2021, the pandemic forced us to cancel in-person events, and we pivoted to online gatherings. For 2022, we have the best of both worlds: in person and virtual, for universal access.
