Michigan Clean Energy Conference

Adding momentum to the clean energy transformation in Michigan by convening renewable energy stakeholders for cross-silo conversation, idea sharing, and deal making.

The Michigan Clean Energy Conference was created to fuel the multi-voiced, multi-perspective conversation needed to move Michigan forward on the clean energy transformation. Big utility CEOs mix with clean energy neighborhood advocates, solar energy installers meet with city managers, and state policy officials meet with manufacturers large and small to remove barriers to progress, celebrate victories, and make deals.

The inaugural Michigan Clean Energy Conference was held in 2017, and has been hosted annually at Traverse City’s Haggerty Center on the shore of Grand Traverse Bay since then. In 2020, however, we altered course due to coronavirus restrictions. To continue the conversation, we launched the Speaking of Resilience podcast.

One of the most highly rated components of MCEC is the Dealmaking Summit, which brings together buyers and sellers of renewable energy systems with the clear purpose of doing deals and moving the clean energy transformation forward with steel in the ground. Participants include installers, manufacturers, utilities, industrial firms and municipalities.
