NMEAC Holds Environmentalist of the Year Awards
NMEAC’s 29th annual Environmentalist of the Year Awards & Celebration will be held April 28, from 5:30-9 pm at the Dennos Museum in Traverse City. The guest speaker will be Sault Tribal Chairman Aaron Payment who will be speaking on Line 5 and treaty fishing rights.
Sugar Loaf to Become Solar Energy Park
The Groundwork Center and other nonprofits have acquired the long-shuttered Leelanau County ski resort and plan to re-open it as a solar-powered all-season resort in December 2017.
More Business Leaders Call to Decommission Line 5 Pipeline
