Now is the time to speak up in support of the clean energy projects that have permit applications before the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC).

With surging gas prices and the energy consequences of war in the Middle East becoming more apparent, communities with renewable energy are better positioned to weather this crisis. Michiganders must act now.

As Michigan continues to grapple with energy challenges—such as rising utility prices and an unreliable grid—renewable energy development is not optional; it is essential. It’s the key to building resilience in our communities.

Solar is the fastest, most affordable way to deliver clean, reliable energy. When developed responsibly, solar projects can actually help the land recover and strengthen local economies.

Additionally, renewable energy projects can provide important support to local farmers. By leasing their land for wind or solar projects, farmers generate a steady income that can help sustain their operations and secure their farmland for 30 years or more. With farmer bankruptcies rising sharply in recent years, clean energy projects offer a valuable opportunity to help keep farmland in the hands of those who work it.

These 10 clean energy projects are now before the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC), and your voice still matters. Now is the time to make sure our state officials hear from us—loud and clear—as they shape Michigan’s clean energy future.

By signing on to the letter below, you are encouraging the MPSC to prioritize energy independence and resilience for Michiganders!
