Let key legislators know: Kids and farmers need 10 cents a meal!
Join us TODAY in advocating for 10 Cents a Meal by sending a letter to our legislators!
We need to let our legislators know that we must:
- Bring this program back at an adequate allocation of $4.5 Million
- Ensure ALL kids remain eligible for this program, including our nonschool sponsors.
- Restore ALL market opportunities for Michigan farmers and food businesses through this program.
While both the Michigan Senate and House have included this program in their budget drafts, there is still work to be done as legislators come together to reconcile. It is important that our decision makers know just how crucial programs like these are for our children and the health and wellbeing of our state and the Michigan economy.
Show support for the 10 Cents a Meal Program and request that as the Michigan Legislature reconciles, they maintain this critical program in the Michigan State Budget.
