Today we are announcing our third annual group-buy discount program for purchasing solar panels for homes and small businesses in northwest Lower Michigan.
This year the exciting change to the Access MI Solar program is we have increased the area of eligibility to include homes and small businesses within 40 miles of either Petoskey or Traverse City. The area encompasses a generous swath stretching from the Mackinac Bridge to Manistee County!

Here’s how Access MI Solar works. CBS Solar will increase the discount as more customers join the group-buy effort. This year’s discount is 1% per customer who signs onto the program, up to a maximum discount of 10% total on the hard costs (equipment and infrastructure) of the solar installation (e.g., if 20 customers sign up, the discount is still 10%.) The discount is on top of the 30% renewable energy tax break available in the federal tax system.
Sign up for your bid today! Signing up does not obligate you to sign a contract with the installer. That will be your decision to make after you’ve reviewed your estimate.
